Foods to Avoid for Breakfast: Nutrition expert Dr. Komal Malik has revealed a list of eight unhealthy foods that should either be avoided from an early meal or consumed in small quantities.

About this information reported Health Shots, reports URA-Inform.

Breakfast, as is well known, plays an important role in maintaining a healthy lifestyle, providing the body with the necessary energy boost for an active start to the day. After 10-12 hours of overnight fasting, the first meal in the morning is of particular importance, journalists say.

Dr. Malik emphasized that some foods that are often eaten at breakfast can have negative health effects if consumed in excess. These foods include:

Sugary cereals

These breakfast foods can cause your blood sugar levels to spike. Instead, it is recommended to choose low-sugar whole grain cereals to maintain stable energy levels.

Flavoured yoghurts

Often these yoghurts contain hidden sugar and artificial additives. A better option would be plain Greek yogurt, to which you can add fresh fruit for a natural sweetness.

White bread

Made from refined flour, white bread lacks fiber and nutrients. Replace it with whole grain bread to provide sustained energy and essential nutrients.

Sandwiches with unhealthy fillings

Sandwiches containing excess saturated fat and empty calories are not an optimal breakfast choice. Choose whole grain breads and lean protein sources such as egg whites, adding vegetables for added nutrition.

Pancakes and syrup

Traditional pancakes and syrup contain a lot of refined sugar. Prefer pancakes made with whole wheat or almond flour, and add fresh berries or pure maple syrup for sweetness.

Processed meats

Bacon, bologna, and sausages may be popular breakfast foods, but their high sodium and saturated fat content makes them undesirable. It's best to choose low-fat protein sources or plant-based alternatives.

Muffins and cakes

Store-bought products are often rich in refined sugars and unnatural fats. Preference should be given to homemade baked goods made from whole wheat flour with the addition of fruits or nuts for added nutrition.

Store fruit juices

Although they may appear healthy, store-bought fruit juices often lack fiber and contain added sugar. Preference should be given to whole fruits or freshly squeezed juices without the addition of artificial ingredients. Thus, it becomes clear what kind of foods it is better not to eat for breakfast.
