Doctors named signs of a blood clot that can be confused with a muscle strain.

This information was reported Glamor, reports URA-Inform.

A blood clot that blocks blood flow can lead to death. At the same time, the symptoms of blood clots can easily be confused with less serious diseases, doctors note.

According to them, symptoms usually manifest themselves in the arms and legs, but sometimes they can resemble simple muscle pain. Such blood clots form in the thick vessels of the body (in the vessels of the legs or in the heart vessels), if they are not detected in time, serious problems can arise.

Deep vein thrombosis — a pathological condition characterized by the formation of blood clots in the deep veins, most often of the lower extremities. This disease occurs in 10-20% of the population.

The most common symptoms

the leg will swell

pain or numbness will be felt

the skin around the area may change color

Some patients' legs or arms may feel warmer than usual. And the symptoms of a blood clot can be similar to those of a pulled muscle. If you have any of these symptoms, see your doctor as soon as possible because you may need immediate treatment.
