The head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Moscow Region, Kirill Budanov, claims that at least since February 15, 2024, Russia had information about the planned terrorist attack in Crocus City.

This information is presented by the telegram channel “Operational Armed Forces of Ukraine,” reports URA-Inform.

The above information was intercepted by the group’s intelligence unit in Syria and transmitted to Moscow. Budanov, in turn, confirmed this fact, saying:

«You should not believe in fairy tales that this information came out of nowhere. We knew where they came from and which way they moved to Russian territory.

The question of the reasons for such an incident has several possible answers. According to the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Moscow Region, the first version — this is an internal political struggle, the goal of which — to cause panic now and force the removal of several high-ranking officials.

“Second version — emphasized underestimation of the scale of possible consequences of events. Perhaps the Russian authorities thought that the situation would be local and tried to shift the responsibility onto Ukraine,” — Budanov said.

The head of the Main Intelligence Directorate also noted that the Kremlin has already changed versions of events related to the terrorist attack in Crocus City several times, in an attempt to connect it with the so-called «Ukrainian trace&# 187;.

Recall that Gumenyuk warned the people of Kiev about the danger: the Russian Federation may continue targeted missile terror.
