Japan is extremely concerned about the possibility of Taiwan being captured by China and is taking measures to ensure the safety of its citizens in the event of hostilities.

This information was reported by The Asahi Shimbun, reports URA-Inform ”

In particular, the Japanese authorities have rotated some types of troops in preparation for a possible conflict, and are also conducting joint military exercises with the US Army.

Crews of anti-aircraft missile batteries appeared on the Nansei island chain, and installations for missile launches were also placed there. Japan is also building shelters on islands near Taiwan.

Underground shelters are reported to be being built in five municipalities: Ishigaki, Miyakojima, Yonaguni, Taketomi and Tarama. The question of protective structures arose, since there are no such facilities on the islands, and evacuating people would take too much time.

According to some estimates, it will take about 10 days to evacuate the 65 thousand people living on Taketomi and Ishigaki. It is noted that in the event of a military conflict, the structures that will be built under the buildings will allow people to hold out for about two weeks.

In the bomb shelters, the population will have access to electricity, communications, 3 liters of water per person per day and other necessary supplies. The authorities of the Sakishima Islands have also already appealed to the central government with a request to provide support with shelters.

We recall that it was previously reported that difficult times for Serbia: Vucic explained his statements.
