According to information provided by the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, the head of the French Ministry of the Armed Forces during a telephone conversation with Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu expressed readiness to start a dialogue on Ukrainian issues, relying on the Istanbul peace initiative, which provides for the neutral status of Kyiv.
This information was reported by the telegram channel “Country Politics,” URA-Inform reports.
It is also reported that Shoigu warned his French counterpart about possible problems that could arise for France if plans to send a French contingent to Ukraine are implemented.
The Russian Minister of Defense also stressed that holding a meeting on Ukraine in Geneva without Russia’s participation makes no sense.
In addition, the report notes that negotiations between Shoigu and the French Minister of the Armed Forces took place at the urgent request of the French side.
It is also noted , that the Minister of the French Armed Forces persistently tried to prove the non-involvement of Kyiv and Western countries in the attack on the Crocus facility.
In the context of this conversation, Shoigu said that Russia has information about a possible Ukrainian trace in organization of the terrorist attack and that the investigation will be carried out to the end, although Ukraine denies its involvement in the terrorist attack.
