According to the legislation of Ukraine, young men must be included in military registration from the age of 16, but there are some nuances.
Lawyer Vladimir Krekotnya reported this information on his Instagram, reports URA-Inform.
According to him, until young people reach adulthood, they still have the right to cross the border.
«Recently, I have received many requests from clients about the possibility of crossing the border by citizens aged 16-17 who have already become conscripts and registered with the military. I do not know what caused this increase in requests, since I have not encountered any problematic situations with this category of citizens crossing the border. However, it is worth remembering that certain restrictions apply to those liable for military service over 18 years of age», — the lawyer notes.
Thus, if a person has not yet reached the age of majority, he must still be allowed through the border, regardless of the purpose of his trip and whether he is registered with the “military registration and enlistment office” .
