Individual NATO member countries are ready to announce the supply of air defense equipment to Ukraine.

About this information was reported by Ukrinform, reports URA-Inform.

Following the results of the meeting of the Euro-Atlantic Council at the level of foreign ministers in Brussels, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg  stated what could happen in the coming days.

He noted that Alliance members understand the urgency of this issue and welcome announcements from several member countries to provide more ammunition and more types of assistance to Ukraine, particularly when it comes to air defense.

«Allies will review their own stockpiles and capabilities to see if they can provide more assistance, particularly Patriot systems, ammunition and spare parts. This is a question not only of batteries and installations, but also of the delivery of interceptors for these systems, which are already in Ukraine», — said the NATO Secretary General.

Also, according to Stoltenberg, several allies have already promised to see what they can deliver.

«I can't be more specific before they reach their conclusions, but there are several countries that could make an announcement about such assistance within days», — he emphasized.

The Secretary General of the Alliance recalled that a meeting of the NATO-Ukraine Council took place on April 3. Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba provided allies with an update on immediate and long-term needs and progress on reforms.

The situation on the battlefield in Ukraine remains difficult, Stoltenberg said. Kyiv needs more air defense systems, more ammunition and more help.

We recall that it was previously reported that he would persuade the Russian Federation to negotiate: Stoltenberg named the path to ending the war.
