Estonia has found an opportunity to purchase shells and missiles for Ukraine worth two to three billion euros.
This information was reported by Forbes, URA-Inform reports.
That's about a million scarce ammunition. Estonian Defense Minister Hanno Pevkur said that the initiative will be implemented only if the allies agree to provide the necessary means.
According to him, such a number of shells would help Ukraine hold back the enemy invasion until the end of this year. They plan to purchase them in non-European countries.
«Unfortunately, I cannot clarify. In many cases, the seller himself does not want this to become known. Since the orders include both 155 mm and 152 mm shells», — said Pevkur.
At the same time, the minister added that this initiative is not related to the Czech one. She is separate. Since the search for shells is carried out all over the world, their suppliers are not disclosed. Because Russia is also actively looking for shells through Belarus, and it is important to be the first here.
We recall that it was previously reported how many Patriots are needed to completely cover the sky over Ukraine: Zelensky named the number for the first time.
