After massive Russian missile attacks on the Ukrainian energy system, energy workers called on citizens to reconsider their habits and move to the most economical use of electricity.

Obozrevatel reported this information, URA-Inform reports.

In the company «Ukrenergo» calculated that more than a quarter of all electricity (28%) is consumed by televisions and computers. They noted that this is an average figure, but in houses and apartments where electric boilers and heated floors are installed, the structure of current consumption may differ.

Thus, a computer, if used daily for 5 hours, can consume 20 kWh per month or more. The consumption volume is approximately the same for the TV. At the same time, for powerful gaming computers and large TVs, consumption can reach 80 kWh and 30 kWh per month, respectively.

Instead of a computer, if you have a choice, it is better to use a laptop, experts say. And the TV should only work if you are actually watching it.

In third place is the refrigerator — about 30 kWh per month. Washing machine (if used twice a week for 1 hour) — from 17 to 25 kWh per month.

It is noteworthy that if you abandon the electric kettle, you can save from 10 to 22 kWh per month. At the same time, a microwave oven consumes on average half as much electricity in the same amount of time. Hairdryer (1 hour per week) — from 2.5 to 5.5 kWh.

We remind you that it was previously reported that by the end of the year the price of a popular product will double in Ukraine.
