The head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine (GUR) Kirill Budanov was cautious about forecasts of the end of the war in Ukraine.
This information was reported by The Washington Post, URA-Inform reports.
In particular, this time I did not even indicate preliminary deadlines. However, in
his statement he noted that he would not object to the possible disintegration of Russia into small parts.
«In the dreams of Russians, to occupy all of Ukraine, and in our dreams, to hold a victory parade… in Moscow. In other words, any outcome is unlikely», — Budanov said.
At the same time, the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate said that the war in Ukraine will continue as long as the current regime remains in effect in Russia.
«In the next mode, this may or may not change, but a window of opportunity will appear», — Budanov said.
The head of the Main Intelligence Directorate was also asked to comment on the feasibility of the «Korean scenario for Ukraine in order to resolve the conflict through negotiations». Budanov asked again:
«Do I want Ukraine has become North Korea?», answered the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate.
Recall that it was previously reported that the Pentagon made a loud statement about the war in Ukraine: “The situation is terrible.”
