The Russian Army began to quickly advance at the front: ISW named the reason

Analysts at the American Institute for the Study of War explained why the Russians are able to quickly advance in key areas of the front.

This information was reported by ISW, URA-Inform reports.

They noted that the capabilities of Ukrainian air defense remain limited and degraded, which allows Russian aviation to operate freely and without threat in certain critical sectors of the front.

Russian milibloggers recently distributed several fragments of video materials, including from April 19, on which show Russian Su-25 and Su-34 aircraft operating at low altitudes in the area of Chasovoy Yar in the Donetsk region and striking Ukrainian positions in support of the Russian offensive in the area.

ISW noted that the ability of Russian aircraft to operate at a depth of more than 100 kilometers in Ukrainian airspace near the front line, without incurring significant losses, indicates that Ukrainian air defense in this area is currently insufficient to deter or impede the actions of Russian aircraft in the area. front lines.

Ukraine's ability to launch long-range strikes to shoot down Russian strategic aircraft in combat could temporarily limit Russian air power, as it did in the previous downing of tactical aircraft. However, this Ukrainian strike capability cannot compensate for the critical shortage of Ukraine's air defense capabilities across the entire theater of operations.

Analysts emphasize that Ukrainian forces must still be careful with logistics and prioritize the distribution of their limited forces and means.

We recall that it was previously reported that the CIA director predicted the course of the war by the end of the year: what could happen.
