In the waters of the Pacific Ocean, scientists discovered an unusual creature that looks like a pork ham on one side and Mick Jagger's lips on the other.

This organism was so unusual that experts were not immediately able to classify it. The researchers obtained samples designated as the “mystery blob” from a mesopelagic zone located between 200 and 1,000 meters deep in Monterey Bay, California.
After detailed examination, scientists identified these creatures as large larvae of chaetopterids, a group of bristle worms that create paper tubes on the seafloor.
These special specimens were significantly larger than any previously known chaetopterid larvae , were found to be five to ten times larger and had no visible genitals, suggesting they may have been young.
This discovery indicates that these creatures may be in the early stages of their development, but already have the size of adult individuals, which represents new interest in their evolutionary potential and adaptive capabilities.
