A source in the Office of the President said that the authorities made a tough decision on the border not only with Romania, but also with Hungary.
This information was reported by the Resident telegram channel, reports URA-Inform.
“According to information received from a source in the Office of the President, a decision was made to further strengthen the Ukrainian border with Hungary and Romania in order to suppress illegal border crossing by men,” — briefly noted in the message.
It is known that since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian army into Ukraine over the past two years, tens of thousands of people have illegally crossed the border. According to some reports, this figure could even reach hundreds of thousands.
This decision was taken in light of the need to control the movement of citizens and prevent evasion of conscription. Growing concern about the situation at the border is pushing the Ukrainian authorities to take additional measures to ensure security and preserve the country's sovereignty.
