Yesterday, at the Ukrainian House in Kyiv, there was a private screening of the new film “We Were Recruits,” directed by Lyubomir Levitsky.

The film covers the entire kaleidoscope of feelings experienced by each of the characters, because the actors are real fighters of the 3rd Special Brigade, who were also present at the event. Their nicknames: “Doc”, “Vostok”, “Khata” and “Datsik”.
Among the spectators were prominent guests: Mayor of Kyiv Vitaliy Klitschko, Minister for Reintegration of Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine Irina Vereshchuk, Speaker of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Moscow Region Andrey Yusov, Dmitry Razumkov, Ramina Eskhakzai, Alexander Yarmak, Sergei Zhadan, Anastasia Tsymbalaru, Kolya Serga, Roman Bebekh, OTOY, Anatoly Anatolich, Roman Pogorely, the Liberovs and many others.
“When creating the film, I thought about its main goal – to motivate fighters: those who are already in battle, those who are just starting to serve, those who hesitates, and those who dream of joining the brigade. I was looking for heroes who could inspire,” noted Lyubomir Levitsky.
A charity auction was also organized to raise funds for robotic systems for special tasks of fighters of the 3rd Special Brigade. In total, we managed to collect 1,000,000 hryvnia.
After the end of the viewing, the audience applauded for several minutes, remembering those who are no longer with us, expressing gratitude to those who are defending the country today, and feeling proud of their fellow citizens.
From May 2, the film will be available in cinemas throughout Ukraine.
