Ukrainians were warned about possible power outages: where and when restrictions are planned

On Wednesday, May 8, Russian occupiers attacked energy infrastructure facilities in six regions of Ukraine.

This information was reported by the press service of Ukrenergo, reports URA-Inform.

In this regard, the press service of Ukrenergo warned that today after 18:00 it is possible to apply restrictions on electricity consumption for consumers throughout Ukraine.

“Tonight from 18:00 to 23: 00 it is possible to limit household and industrial consumers throughout Ukraine. Restrictions will be distributed evenly across all areas. Exactly how the shutdown schedules will operate in each region will be published on the official pages of local regional power companies,” — noted in the company.

Ukrenergo explained that the reason — the electricity shortage that arose in the energy system due to new damage to the equipment of Ukrainian power plants associated with the shelling of the Russian Federation on May 8.

A particularly difficult situation is expected today from 18:00 to 23:00. The Ukrenergo dispatch center is using all available measures to overcome the shortage, including the import and emergency assistance of electricity from the power systems of European countries.
