Ideological comrades are already preparing a programmatic basis for the possible second term of Donald Trump.
This information was reported Associated Press, reports URA-Inform.
A group of Trumpists wrote a book on the “America First” strategy, in which, among other things, they proposed President Trump's strategy for the Russian-Ukrainian war after his eventual return to the White House.
After reading the contents of the book, which should go on sale next week, its authors — The America First Policy Institute is committed to helping Donald Trump avoid the mistakes of 2016, when he entered the White House largely unprepared.
Both the authors of the book and Trump himself claim that they are independent of each other. At the same time, the authors say that they communicated a lot with the ex-president of the United States, in particular discussing the topic of Ukraine.
The editor of the book, Fred Fleitz, expressed the hope that the book will become a guide and intellectual basis for Trump’s implementation of his “America” strategy above all.”
The authors predict that the Ukrainian army will likely lose ground over time, and advise Trump not to continue “sending weapons into a dead end that Ukraine will ultimately have difficulty overcoming.”
What the authors suggest to Trump regarding Ukraine:
Further military assistance to Ukraine must be made conditional on Ukraine's participation in peace negotiations with Russia. Once a peace agreement is reached, the US should continue to arm Ukraine as a deterrent to Russia.
Ukraine should not be forced to abandon the goal of returning all of its territory, but Kyiv should agree to diplomacy and wait for a “future diplomatic breakthrough” , which probably won't happen before Putin leaves office.”
Putin could be persuaded to join peace talks if the prospect of Ukraine's NATO membership is delayed for a long period. Instead, the United States should create a “long-term security architecture for the defense of Ukraine” based on direct cooperation between Kyiv and Washington.
To finance the reconstruction of Ukraine, “taxes” should be introduced on the sale of Russian energy resources.
We recall that it was previously reported that the United States sent a “signal” to the Russian Federation: what decision did Biden make.
