US President Joe Biden announced a new package of military assistance for the Armed Forces of Ukraine worth $225 million.
This information was reported by the telegram channel “Operational Armed Forces of Ukraine,” reports URA-Inform.
The new package includes various types of weapons and ammunition that will significantly strengthen the defense capability of the Ukrainian army:
- Patriot air defense system battery— a highly effective anti-missile system capable of protecting strategically important objects from air threats;
- Ammunition for NASAMS and HIMARS — These systems are key elements of Ukraine's modern air defense and artillery strike capabilities;
- Anti-aircraft missiles for the Stinger — portable anti-aircraft missile systems designed to destroy air targets at low altitudes;
- Artillery shells of 155 mm and 105 mm calibers— this ammunition is necessary to support the artillery units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the front line;
- TOW anti-tank guided missiles — effective means for destroying armored vehicles and fortified enemy positions;
- Javelin and AT-4 anti-tank systems and ammunition — These systems have already proven themselves to be reliable and effective means of combating enemy armored vehicles.
The allocation of a new aid package underscores the US commitment to supporting Ukraine in the face of ongoing aggression. Air defense systems such as Patriot and NASAMS will greatly strengthen the country's air defense, while HIMARS ammunition and artillery shells will enhance firepower at the front. Anti-tank weapons, including TOW, Javelin and AT-4, will provide reliable protection against armored threats.
