As you know, the last few days have become a real test for the residents of Ukraine, warmed to the limit by the intense summer heat and in conditions of constant blackouts electricity.
Forecasters from the Ukrhydrometcenter reported this information, reports URA-Inform.
Experts confirm that Wednesday, July 10, was marked by the setting of temperature records in several key cities of the country. At the same time, the hottest day was recorded in Nikolaev, where thermometers rose to +40.5 degrees Celsius.
This figure was the highest in the history of meteorological observations in the region. Abnormally high temperatures were also recorded in other cities: Simferopol reached +38.4 degrees, Odessa – +36.2 degrees, Kharkov – +35.8 degrees, Vinnitsa – +34.1 degrees, Lviv – +32.2 degrees.
These values exceeded previous records by 1-3 degrees, which indicates the extraordinary strength of the current heat. Experts warn that hot weather will continue in Ukraine in the next few days. On Friday, July 12, the air temperature is predicted to be +35-39 degrees during the day, and in the southern regions (Odessa, Nikolaev, Kherson) in some places it can reach +40-41 degrees. In Transcarpathia, the Carpathian region and the Volyn region, slightly cooler indicators are expected: at night +17-22 degrees, during the day +30-34 degrees. Intermittent rain and thunderstorms are also possible in these regions.
Extreme heat has a significant impact on people's overall well-being and health. Medical experts recommend taking precautions, avoiding prolonged exposure to the sun during periods of greatest heat and providing the body with enough fluid.
Recall that a way to live longer has been found: scientists have named only one pleasant habit.
