In 2025, the Eurovision Song Contest will be held in Switzerland.

“Two finalist cities have been identified: the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 will take place in Basel or Geneva,” — the message says.
However, the final decision regarding the host city of Eurovision will be announced at the end of August. It is noted that the cities of Zurich and Bern also applied for the right to host Eurovision, but did not make it to the finals.
When determining which city to host the competition, the Swiss broadcaster SRG paid attention to the concept of the arena, public transport connections, and availability of accommodation in hotels, safety concept and waste management, investment, event experience and support and motivation from the city.
