A week before the start of the Olympics, which will be held in the French capital of Paris, a record number of tickets were sold.

This information is reported by Inside the Games, reports URA-Inform.

It is noted that a week before the start of the Olympic Games, fans can still attend some of the most famous competitions. According to data provided by the organizing committee, there are still 1.2 million tickets on sale, especially for football, basketball and handball matches.

Contrary to expectations, some of these team sports are not attracting enough interest to sell out the available seats in large stadiums. Therefore, the organizing committee has launched a strategic plan aimed at accelerating ticket sales before the start of the Paris event.

In particular, as the committee's deputy general director Mikael Aloisio told the press on Wednesday, fans can now purchase more than 50 thousand new tickets for the events. covering more than 30 sports disciplines. The initiative will also provide several additional places for the swimming and athletics finals, which are traditionally in high demand.

Starting next Monday, July 22, this initiative will enter its final phase and the remaining tickets will be available to shopping daily until the end of the Olympics, Alosizio reports. According to the CEO, more than 60% of tickets were sold in France, and countries such as Spain and Italy are among the top three in terms of ticket sales for these Olympic Games.

We recall that it was previously reported that UEFA has updated the club rating: where are Dynamo and Shakhtar?
