Although the Olympic Games have not yet begun, Israeli athletes have already faced threats.

About this information reported Cursorinfo, reports URA-Inform.

In total, the Israeli Olympic delegation numbers 88 people. It is reported that anonymous letters with threats began to arrive on the personal accounts of members of the Israeli delegation. Some of them said that they received letters and messages with the following content:

“The Jewish lobby, which controlled the French parliament, will no longer have any influence here. Don’t come to France if you don’t want the same thing to happen as in Munich in 1972.” “When they shoot at you, try not to damage our airport.” “Beware, the streets and hotels of Paris belong to us.”

The Israeli Olympic Committee confirmed the receipt of such letters and said that a complaint has already been submitted to the relevant authorities for further investigation.

The Office of the Minister of Culture and Sports Mika Zohar issued a statement:

“Ministry staff and Minister Zohar personally are in constant and close contact with Israeli and French security officials, as well as with the International Olympic Committee. The level of safety will be the highest, athletes will receive appropriate instructions. These trolling attempts will not interfere with training, and our athletes will bring victory to Israel.”

We recall that it was previously reported that a record number of tickets were sold for the Olympics in Paris: which countries are in the top three.
