Political scientist Andrei Piontkovsky said that the West is on the verge of making a key decision that will lead Ukraine to victory.

He believes that Europe needs to decide to provide Ukraine with its aviation. According to Piontkovsky, the insufficient number of aircraft and trained pilots does not allow changing the course of the war. The solution to the problem, in his opinion, lies in the hands of the West, which should provide Ukraine not only with aircraft, but also with pilots.
According to the political scientist, this is the solution that can be discussed at the highest political level. This is the only way, according to Piontkovsky, to help Ukraine end the war.
«The fact that the planes will be based at airfields in Romania and Poland is already clear as two times two makes four. This is being discussed on all Russian channels, how they will destroy them there. It is very good and symbolic that there will be Ukrainian pilots in the sky, but, generally speaking, we need ready-made squadrons from Britain, France and Sweden», — he noted.
Next, Piontkovsky gave an example of how one of the Western countries is ready to provide Ukraine with aircraft along with crews:
«The Swedes, by the way, took the lead: they proposed two aircraft, analogues of American AWACS. This is no longer even a question of any Ukrainian pilots. The crew of these aircraft is 5-6 people, Swedish officers who have been preparing for this mission all their lives. This is how the question stands in military terms. The West has now stopped at the threshold of the last decision that will realize Ukraine's victory over Russia.
