In the coming school year, tenth grade students will study the fundamental aspects of national security and defense of the Ukrainian state.
The press service of the Ministry of Education of Ukraine reported this, reports URA-Inform.
They They will master management and planning methods, as well as study weapons and military equipment in detail. The main emphasis will be on practical exercises.
The Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine announced changes to the curriculum of the course «Defense of Ukraine». The new curriculum is designed to reflect the modern realities and challenges facing the country and will be applicable to all students without exception.
The updated course includes a variety of topics important for understanding the modern reality, such as advanced technologies, cyber security and providing first aid.
«The main goal today is to prepare young people for modern challenges. We strive to develop in adolescents the skills of critical thinking, adaptability and quick response to change. New program ‘Protection of Ukraine’ is aimed at developing key life skills: from providing first aid to understanding new technologies,» – said the Minister of Education and Science Oksen Lesnoy.
10th grade students will study key aspects of national security and defense of Ukraine, master management and planning methods, and also understand weapons and military equipment. Particular emphasis will be placed on practical skills such as terrain navigation, fortification engineering and marksmanship.
For 11th grade students, the program focuses on an in-depth study of military technology, aspects of information security and medical care. An important part of the curriculum will be the study of methods for protecting civilians in crisis situations and methods of defending Ukraine.
