Discovered in the Pechersky district of Kyiv the dungeon of the Hetman Kirill Razumovskyi Palace.

This information was reported by Ukrinform, as reported by URA-Inform.

It is reported that the remains of the historical building are located near the Arsenalnaya metro station ;, on the territory of the so-called Engineering Yard of the Kyiv Fortress. The rare find is still being studied.

Thus, the dungeon of the palace of Hetman Kirill Razumovsky was found between the trees of the Dnieper slope and the so-called “Stalinka” – a residential building near the Arsenalnaya metro station. On this site, SEBI LLC planned to erect a commercial building to replace the old abandoned one, but construction froze after the remains of the building were discovered.

According to archaeologist Timur Bobrovsky, historians knew that the so-called Engineering Yard of the Kyiv Fortress was partially built on the site of the former Razumovsky estate.

But until recently it was believed that nothing remained of the estate itself (except for a building nearby – a rebuilt outbuilding)”, – the scientist said.

This year, developers, dismantling the old walls of a building from the late 19th century (the one from the Kyiv Fortress complex), unexpectedly discovered an underground space of an even older period.

«Kiev tour guide Alla Bondarenko accidentally saw Murovka and took several photos, which she posted on Facebook. And one of the Kiev residents drew my attention to this post, they say, — and what could this be?», — added the archaeologist.

Thanks to specialists, they were able to determine the identity of the remains of the foundation, which allowed us to say with confidence «100%: what we see are the basements of the palace of Kirill Razumovsky».< /p>

Since March, Timur Bobrovsky and like-minded people have been working on completing the paperwork and going through the procedures necessary for the found memo to acquire the appropriate status.

< p>We recall that it was previously reported under what circumstances the Russians could destroy the Kyiv hydroelectric power station: Ukrhydroenergo explained.
