Recent amendments to legislation about mobilization in Ukraine raised many questions among the population.

This information was reported by the publication Znaj, reports “URA-Inform”.

Lawyer Sergei Dubok shed light on the above-mentioned changes, providing detailed explanations. According to the new requirements, conscripts who have not updated their data by July 16 will be the first to be called to undergo a military medical commission.

Dubok clarified that this rule applies even to those who have a deferment or reservation. This means that all conscripts, regardless of their current status, must be prepared to receive summonses.

The lawyer also explained that the summons must be sent to the addressee no later than 48 hours after it is signed by the relevant manager. The day of appearance at the territorial recruitment center will be determined no earlier than 14 days after the summons is sent by mail. Summons will be sent by registered mail with a description of the enclosure and a delivery confirmation, which means that the recipient must sign upon receipt of the letter.

Another important issue concerns those who were previously recognized as “limitedly fit” and had a reservation. Sergey Dubok explained that such citizens have 9 months (until February 4, 2025) to undergo a repeat medical examination. A deferment or reservation does not affect this period, and all conscripts with this status must undergo the VLK during the specified period.

Thus, if a person is subject to military service and has not updated the data by July 16, he will have to be ready to receive a summons in the near future.
