Twitter LinkedIn

Some citizens will receive a one-time financial assistance for Independence Day.

The Pension Fund of Ukraine reported this information, reports “URA-Inform”.

In particular, payments will be received by persons with special labor merits to the Motherland, war veterans and persons working in special conditions. As reported by the Pension Fund of Ukraine, pensioners who are entitled to such payment will receive financial assistance in August along with their pension – without additional application.

Also, assistance will be provided to war veterans who are serving or working and are not pensioners. The funds will be directed to non-budget accounts of military units, institutions, and organizations where such citizens are serving (working), based on submitted applications, including through the Pension Fund's electronic services web portal.

Those who are entitled to the payment, are not pensioners and are not serving (working), will receive the money at their place of residence to a current account in an authorized bank.

Earlier, Social Policy Minister Oksana Zholnovych reported that social payments would be revised in Ukraine due to their excessive amount. The state cannot confirm them with financial resources.

«We have taken on an excessive number of social obligations for social payments, which cannot always be confirmed by financial resources. And this imbalance entails a huge number of court cases that cannot be carried out from the point of view of the economy's ability to cover such expenses,” Zholnovich emphasized.

Recall that earlier it was reported that Ukraine recalculated pensions: how much Ukrainians will receive.
