According to Ukrainian legislation , by July 16, 2024, all citizens liable for military service were required not only to register for military service or update their data, but also to undergo a military medical commission.

Colonel Marko Andrusyak emphasized the importance of passing a medical commission on the official YouTube channel of the Ministry of Defense, equating it to update military registration data. The VVK determines the suitability of a person for military service, which allows the state to assess the real mobilization resource and the country's readiness to defend itself.

According to Andrusyak, ignoring the medical examination, as well as not updating military registration data, data, entails administrative liability. It is important to note that these violations are considered separately. Thus, even if a conscript has updated his data but has not shown up for a medical examination, he can still be fined.

The fine for individuals ranges from 17,000 to 25,500 hryvnia. For officials and legal entities, the sanctions more stringent – from 34,000 to 59,000 hryvnia.
