This information was reported by the Financial Times, as reported by URA-Inform.

The chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Economic Issues, Dmytro Natalukha, reported that about 800 thousand Ukrainian men have gone into the shadows in order to avoid mobilization.

He noted that due to the situation in the country, employees of territorial recruitment centers are “working out” companies where the personnel is officially registered and physically present at the production site.

According to Natalukha, over time, more and more businesses will close due to a lack of human resources, and by the end of September this year, the situation could become critical.

«You can mobilize 1 million people, but if you don’t have the resources to arm them, there’s no point. The army will be defenseless if the economy collapses», — the MP is convinced.

As the MP noted, if the bill on economic reservation is adopted, it will exempt approximately 895 thousand Ukrainians from mobilization and will allow collecting about 200 billion hryvnia for the needs of the Ukrainian army.

«This money does not depend on what mood Viktor Orban wakes up in or who will become the next president of the United States,— Dmytro Natalukha summarized.
