How TCC responded to the protests in Kovel: official statement

Twitter LinkedIn

It has become known that an incident broke out in Kovel between three conscripts and employees of the territorial recruitment center.

This information was reported by the Volyn TCC, reports “URA-Inform”.

According to the TCC, three men, those who did not have military registration documents in hand were summoned to the Kovel District TCC and SP to check their military status and possibly bring them to administrative responsibility.

The TCC also noted that their employees do not detain Ukrainian citizens for administrative offenses involving persons aged 18 to 60 years who are subject to mobilization. The detention and delivery of such persons to the TCC and SP is carried out exclusively by representatives of the national police.

«However, some citizens interpret the laws in their own way. Calls for an uprising that spread yesterday on social networks of the Kovel territorial community and the Volyn region were noticed by hostile propaganda channels, which used this for their own purposes,— the TCC emphasized.

The center's employees explained that an analysis of the facts and circumstances of yesterday's incident in Kovel indicates that the conflict was supported and directed by Russian special services through the relevant information systems.

«Hundreds of bots whose activity was detected on social networks indicate that hostile propaganda will use your every word, call or action to destabilize the situation in Ukraine. However, those who resisted and obstructed the legitimate actions of the authorities yesterday were real people, and their responsibility will also be real, not virtual,», — the center added.

Recall that in Kovel, TCC workers detained men: outraged people staged a rally (video).
