Ministry of Finance of Ukraine published a detailed report on international sources of financing for the country's state budget.
This information was reported by an official source of the Ministry of Finance, reports “URA-Inform”.
According to the department, to date the total volume of attracted funds in 2024 amounted to $27.3 billion. Top 5 largest donors:
European Union
Contributed $8.5 billion, making the EU the largest donor to the Ukrainian budget at the moment. These funds are aimed at supporting economic stability and reforms in Ukraine.
Domestic government loan bonds (OVGZ)
Raised $7.3 billion. The placement of these bonds became a significant source of domestic financing, allowing the state to attract capital for economic development.
USA
Provided $3.9 billion. US support includes both direct cash injections and technical assistance aimed at strengthening Ukraine's financial and economic systems.
International Monetary Fund (IMF)
Provided $3.1 billion through macro-financial stabilization and reform support programs.
Japan
Contributed $2.1 billion. Japan's financial assistance is aimed at restoring infrastructure and supporting socio-economic projects.
General International Aid and the Role of Government Bonds
Since the start of the war in 2022, Ukraine has received $93.5 billion in international aid. This includes loans, grants and other forms of support from governments, international organizations and financial institutions.
