Ukrainians are warned that people will soon receive a third payment for gas. This payment is different from the cost of the gas itself and gas distribution services.

The third payment will come for the technical maintenance of in-house gas supply systems. This will be a separate bill.
The agreement for technical maintenance will be concluded by the condominium association or the management company. Any company with the appropriate licenses can carry out technical maintenance. But most likely, they will conclude agreements with the former regional gas companies, because they have an extensive network in the country.
It is reported that a separate agreement is necessary, because now the regional gas company is only responsible for supplying gas to the house. And after the gas pipe enters the house, the regional gas company is no longer legally responsible for it. So, in order for it to check the integrity of the house networks and prevent a possible gas leak, it is now necessary to conclude a separate agreement with it.
A standard agreement for technical maintenance of in-house gas supply systems has been approved by the National Commission for State Regulation of Energy and Public Utilities.
Certain standards for checking the in-house gas system have also been approved:
— if the house is less than 25 years old, then the check is carried out once every 5 years;
— if the house was commissioned more than 25 years ago, then it is checked once every 3 years.
Thus, the residents of the house will have to pay for checking the gas network once every three or five years.
