Government plans to increase electricity generation by 50 megawatts in the Chernihiv region by building a new power facility.
This information was reported by Denis Shmygal, reports URA-Inform.
During an off-site meeting in Chernihiv, Prime Minister Denis Shmygal reported that officials are currently looking for money and negotiating with partners.
«Today we are discussing the issue of increasing the volume of electricity generation in the Chernihiv region. There is a project that will increase such generation by an additional 50 MW, which is a significant resource for the region. We are negotiating with partners to ensure the necessary financing,— the official noted.
He added that at the same time, decentralization of the energy system continues in Ukraine. Currently, the country already has a law that energy equipment is imported without duty and value added tax (VAT).
«This is a simplification of the procedure so that the necessary equipment for our energy sector is imported to Ukraine as quickly as possible, without delays and additional payments,— added the minister.
It is worth noting that the construction of small power plants is provided for by the strategy of distributed generation of Ukraine, which began to be implemented due to the destruction of large thermal power plants by Russian occupiers.
Recall that earlier it was reported that Ukrainians were warned about a possible shortage of a key product: what will happen to prices.
