This year abnormal heat is observed in most tourist countries of Europe.

Temperatures in popular travel destinations such as France, Spain and Cyprus have reached over 30 degrees Celsius, significantly increasing the number of premature deaths.
According to the Barcelona-based research institute IS Global, over 5 million people have passed away this summer. To warn vacationers of the potential threat, a special project, Forecaster.health, was developed, whose participants create interactive maps showing the most life-threatening regions.
Among the popular European resorts where the risk of death associated with heat is the highest are: the capital of France – Paris, the largest city in Spain – Madrid and the central part of Cyprus – Nicosia. Temperatures in these areas are classified as extreme, as they reach 40°C. On the interactive map, they are marked in dark purple or burgundy.
The project's developers explained that excessively high ambient temperatures are responsible for more than 5 million premature deaths a year worldwide, more than 300,000 of them in Western Europe. This is because during hot weather the human body has to work much harder to ensure the necessary thermoregulation, which increases the risk of heart attacks, strokes and worsens the condition of asthma patients. Such changes begin to occur at temperatures above 26°C.
«In the context of rapid warming, with temperatures consistently breaking previous records over the past two decades, it is essential to use epidemic models to develop new early warning systems that anticipate the impact of expected temperatures on health», — experts noted.
Recall that earlier it was reported that the Earth was covered by a powerful magnetic storm: how many days will it last and how to protect yourself.
