US President Joe Biden held a telephone call conversation with Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky on the eve of Ukraine's Independence Day, during which he announced a new package of military aid for Ukraine.

This was reported by URA-Inform, citing the White House website.

According to the source, the new package includes missiles for air defense systems, anti-drone weapons, anti-tank missiles, as well as mobile missile systems and ammunition.

Biden reaffirmed his continued support for Ukraine and noted that Russia, having started this senseless war, failed to deprive Ukrainians of their freedom. He stressed that Ukraine will remain free even after the end of the conflict.

Earlier, Western media reported that the cost of the new aid package from the US would be about 125 million dollars.

This news is especially important against the backdrop of the fighting in the Kursk region. Let us recall that the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported how the fighting in the Kursk region affected the situation in the Kharkiv region.
