The White House is discussing possible changes as part of military aid to Ukraine to support Ukrainian forces in the Kursk region.
This was reported by URA-Inform, citing The Washington Post.
According to the publication's sources, the Pentagon has already requested information from Ukraine on what resources are needed to successfully conduct the operation on Russian territory. However, according to them, final decisions on providing additional assistance have not yet been made.
Among the options for assistance being discussed is the possibility of transferring additional armored vehicles and other weapons that could help the Ukrainian army “dig in” in the Kursk region and strengthen its positions.
Sources add that the American authorities do not yet have a clear idea of Kyiv's strategic goals in the Kursk region. One of the interlocutors noted that Ukraine does not disclose its plans for this operation to the United States.
U.S. officials have repeatedly tried to obtain more information about the progress of the offensive in the Kursk area and continue to closely monitor the situation, trying to better understand the intentions Kyiv in this region.
It is also worth recalling that the military explained why the Ukrainian Armed Forces are calm despite the increased pressure on Pokrovsk.
