In Kyiv, men dismantled electric scooters for spare parts: what punishment awaits them

Vigilant in Kyiv A resident helped to detain criminals who were trying to dismantle and sell stolen electric scooters. The woman, having noticed suspicious men in the Dniprovsky district, reported them to the police. Law enforcement officers quickly responded to the message and arrived at the scene.

This was reported by “URA -Inform”, with reference to the Facebook of the Kyiv patrol police.

The patrol officers who arrived found three men matching the description given by the applicant. The suspects did not deny their guilt and admitted that they stole electric scooters with the purpose of disassembling them and then selling them details. The patrol officers detained the criminals and called investigators to the scene for further investigation.

The thieves face serious punishment – up to eight years in prison for theft committed under martial law.

A similar incident occurred recently in the Bortnichi area. A man stole an electric scooter after noticing it parked near a store. He loaded the vehicle into the trunk of his car and tried to escape. However, the police quickly found and detained him.
