Ukrainian singer Oleh Vynnyk, who disappeared from public view after the war in Ukraine began in February 2022, unexpectedly announced his return to the stage. After almost two and a half years of silence, he released a new song, “My People,” and began actively managing his social media pages, hinting at plans to regain his former popularity.
This was reported by URA-Inform, citing the 1+1 YouTube channel.
In an interview for the “Speak All Country” program, Vynnyk shared his plans for a world tour. According to him, he was abroad for a reason all this time. He actively supported the Ukrainian military and helped with the delivery of necessary items to the front. The artist also noted that some of his acquaintances died in the war, which was a great loss for him.
“I am grateful to fate that I have the financial means to help my guys at the front. Some of them, unfortunately, are no longer with us,” Vinnik shared, adding that he does not want to talk about himself, since he believes that there are more important things in Ukraine now.
Oleg also noted that he is working on new songs and preparing for a series of concerts. However, Ukrainian viewers will probably not be able to see his performances anytime soon.
“I have changed my entire band and am preparing for a world tour,” the singer said, leaving fans waiting for announcements.
Earlier, Vynnyk responded to accusations that he left Ukraine.
