In Yaremche, Ivano-Frankivsk region, law enforcement officers and employees of the territorial center for staffing and social support (TCS) detained the driver of a tourist bus. The incident occurred on August 30 at about 8:20, when the bus with 50 passengers, including eight children, stopped to rest and refuel.
This was reported by “URA-Inform”, with reference to “Suspilne”.
According to information provided by passenger Yulia, the police and representatives of the TCC stopped the driver near a gas station. He was taken away in an unknown direction along with documents, bus keys and money for fuel. The passengers, including the driver's 14-year-old son, were left outside. The boy managed to contact his father, who said that he was undergoing a medical examination in Ivano-Frankivsk.
The press officer of the Ivano-Frankivsk TCC and SP Dmytro Boykanyuk refused to comment on the incident, recommending that a request be made to the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Lawyer Dmytro Morgun noted that the actions of law enforcement officers could have violated the constitutional rights of the driver, qualifying them as illegal deprivation of liberty and the right to work.
At the moment, the second bus driver, Oleksandr, said that he will continue the trip to Poltava on his own. It was originally planned that two drivers would operate the bus on such a long route.
By the way, we previously reported on another controversial incident, when the Russian Federation, by mistake, received important military aid from the United States.
