Russian troops continue their offensive actions in eastern Ukraine, advancing in the Pokrovsky district of the Donetsk region. According to information from the monitoring project DeepState, on August 31 it was confirmed that the occupiers captured the village of Karlovka and advanced in a number of other settlements on the eastern front, such as Galitsynovka, Stelmakhovka, and also near Dolinovka and Peschanoye.
URA-Inform reports on the situation on the front, citing DeepState.
These successes indicate that the Russian army continues its offensive in the Pokrovsky direction, trying to capture more territory and strengthen their positions in the Donetsk region.
The General Staff of Ukraine reported that in the last 24 hours alone, 36 assault attacks by the Russian army were recorded in the areas of the settlements of Zelenoye Pole, Vozdvizhenka, Grodovka, Karlovka, Novogrodovka , Marinovka and Mikhailovka. The Ukrainian defense forces were able to repel 28 of these attacks, which shows the high level of resistance and resilience of the Ukrainian troops.
There are no clear signs yet that the Russian advance has come to an end. However, it is worth recalling that Ukraine has sent special forces under Pokrovsk: Forbes told what Zelensky is preparing for.
