RTX Company Corp., a major American military contractor, has faced serious fines totaling $200 million for transferring military technology to China, Iran and Russia.

This was reported by the authoritative publication Bloomberg, which is cited by URA-Inform ».

RTX voluntarily disclosed the violations, explaining that they were the result of “misclassification of defense articles under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).”

RTX Corp. has agreed to settle the allegations with by the U.S. government, agreeing to pay a large fine. The charges relate to export control violations that resulted in the transfer of sensitive technology to countries considered U.S. adversaries.

Bloomberg reports that export violations by RTX subsidiaries have become the reason for confidential data on military technologies leaking to China and the Russian Federation. The data included technology used in military aircraft systems, including Air Force One.

One example of a breach was when unauthorized exports revealed design details of environmental control system components for F/A-18 E aircraft /F Super Hornet and EA-18G Growler. This circumstance created a potential threat to US security, since data on these components could fall into the hands of adversaries.

Speaking of threats from the Russian Federation, it is worth recalling that on August 31 Russia deployed a missile carrier to the Black Sea: the Ukrainian Armed Forces responded about the threat.
