Famous Ukrainian presenter Slava Demin recently shared a personal story about his difficult relationship with his mother, who openly supports Russia's war against Ukraine and is rumored to be participating in pro-Russian rallies in Spain.
The candid account was published on his YouTube- channel and caused a wide resonance, details are reported by “URA-Inform”.
Demin admitted that he has not been in touch with his mother for a long time. Their relationship did not work out since his childhood. According to him, the last time they spoke in person was in 2016. The phone conversations that took place since then were superficial. The host recalls that the relationship finally deteriorated after his mother sued him for alimony.
“She lives in Spain and earns money there – these are just grievances. I want to leave everything in the past,” he shared.
However, the main reason why Demin broke all ties with his mother was her political position and support for Russian aggression.
“It was a shock for me. She always spoke strangely about Ukraine lately, but apparently Russian propaganda had a very strong influence on her,” Demin noted.
Such events led to the presenter deciding to completely distance himself from his loved one. Demin admits that he is no longer interested in communicating with his mother, and it seems that this relationship can no longer be restored.
