It has become known that France has faced a new political challenge initiated by the far-left party “France Unbowed”.
This was reported by “URA-Inform” with reference to “France Unbowed” on the social network “X”.
It is noted that the parliamentary faction “France Unbowed” expressed deep dissatisfaction with Macron's decision to refuse to appoint the candidate from the left-wing bloc, Lucie Castet, to the post of prime minister.
This decision by the president has given rise to accusations of abuse of power and violation of democratic principles.
The far-left believes that Macron's refusal to take into account the opinion of the broad masses and block Castet's candidacy is a flagrant violation of France's legal and constitutional norms. In response, the leader of the faction, Mathilde Pano, said:
«The resolution to initiate the impeachment procedure of the President of the Republic, in accordance with Article 68 of the Constitution, was sent to deputies for signing today. Macron refuses to submit to the popular vote, so we must eliminate him»
It is known that the impeachment of the President of France is a process that requires serious grounds and political support. Article 68 of the French Constitution regulates this process, requiring the consent of an absolute majority of members of parliament to initiate an official investigation.
