Russia is forced transfer their troops from the territory of Ukraine to the Kursk region, which, according to Ukrainian military analysts, is a positive development for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
This was reported by URA-Inform, citing a statement by the head of the Center for Military Legal research by Alexander Musienko, which was broadcast on the YouTube channel “RBK-Ukraine”.
He emphasized that although the risks of strengthening the Russian presence in the Kursk region and attempts to counterattack Ukrainian positions exist, Ukraine has calculated such options.
According to Musienko, Russia has already begun transferring some troops from Ukraine to the Kursk region.
“For example, more than 30,000 Russian troops, including those who were deployed in the Donetsk region, have already arrived there, and this number will grow. For Ukraine, this means the opportunity to move to a new phase of the operation aimed at tying down Russian forces,” — Musienko said.
The expert also drew attention to the statement by President Volodymyr Zelensky, who hinted at an element of surprise in Ukraine's future plans, which could mean preparations for new actions.
Such a strategy could play a key role role in weakening Russian positions in the temporarily occupied territories and will allow Ukraine to effectively counter the enemy's offensive plans.
It is worth noting that ISW experts report some stabilization near Pokrovsk.
