Famous Ukrainian musician and the frontman of the Okean Elzy band Svyatoslav Vakarchuk shared rare family photos with his subscribers. In his publications, he recalled his hometown of Mukachevo and shared touching memories of his childhood.

One of the photographs taken in childhood shows Vakarchuk with his mother Svetlana. In the black-and-white photo, little Vakarchuk poses in a stroller, and next to him stands his mother, who is holding him by the hands, and they smile at each other. This photo was taken in Mukachevo, Zakarpattia region.
A recent photo shows 49-year-old Vakarchuk against a backdrop of picturesque landscapes Mukachevo. Vakarchuk took a selfie with his mother, and they hugged, enjoying the moment. In the caption to the photo, he recalled significant places in his hometown, such as the embankment, the monastery on Latoritsa and the courtyard where he was born.
“The smell of Mukachevo, which I can't confuse with anything,” Vakarchuk noted, emphasizing his deep connection with this place.
