Analysis shows whether air quality in Kyiv has begun to improve after recent fires

“At 08:00, the level of air pollution in Kyiv was assessed as average. The radiation background is normal,” the report noted.

According to IQair monitoring, Kyiv ranks 14th ranks 1st in the world in terms of pollution. On September 20, the capital faced a serious deterioration in air quality due to forest fires in the Kyiv region, which led to pollution levels exceeding the norm by five times. On that day, Kyiv was ranked first in the world in terms of air pollution.

By the evening of September 20, the situation had improved, and the level of air pollution was assessed as low, indicating that conditions had normalized.
