British Foreign Secretary David Lemmy said that talks with the White House were ongoing on the issue of allowing Ukraine to use Storm Shadow missiles to strike Russia. He stressed that the war would become more severe for both sides in the future.
The position of the head of the British Foreign Office is reported by ” URA-Inform”, citing The Guardian.
Speaking at the Labour Party conference in Liverpool, Lemmy noted that the war in Ukraine will become increasingly complex and tense.
“This “a critical time when Ukraine's allies will need to show courage, fortitude and patience. The next two years could prove particularly tense and harsh,” the minister added.
Lemmy also mentioned that Ukraine and its Western partners are actively discussing what steps are needed to support Kyiv, beyond helping it hold frontline positions under pressure in the east of the country. He avoided giving details about the use of Storm Shadow missiles, noting that such details could only play into the hands of the enemy. However, Lemmy stressed that the allies are already discussing how to help Ukraine prepare for the winter period.
It is also worth recalling that Putin is afraid of a new advantage for Ukraine: Umerov told what negotiations have begun.
