Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto claims that arms supplies to Ukraine have not brought the country closer to peace, but have only increased the number of victims and continued the conflict. He suggests another way to resolve the conflict.

Szijjártó expressed this opinion at a meeting of the UN Security Council on September 24. According to him, military aid did not have a positive impact on ending the war, but, on the contrary, contributed to its prolongation, which led to large losses on both sides. parties.

Szijjarto stressed that Hungary consistently advocates an immediate ceasefire and the start of peace negotiations, considering this the only quick path to peace. He noted that it is impossible to find a solution on the battlefield that could bring a final settlement to the conflict.

The minister also expressed hope that the meetings during the UN General Assembly week will bring a peaceful end to the war closer and stop the suffering of people in the immediate vicinity of conflict.
