It has become known that the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine is preparing a bill that will open up new opportunities for Ukrainians of draft age – now the process of registration for military service can become completely digital.
This was reported by “URA-Inform” with reference to the official Telegram of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
The development of the bill provides for the simplification of procedures using electronic identification tools through the platform “Electronic account of a conscript, a person liable for military service and a reservist”.
The main goal of the bill is to modernize the process of registration for military service, which is expected to reduce bureaucratic barriers and increase the efficiency of interaction between citizens and military bodies. Now conscripts will be able to:
- register for military service and update your personal data using electronic identification tools through the online service “Electronic account of a conscript, person liable for military service and reservist”;
- submit the necessary data and go through all procedures remotely, without the need for personal presence;
This solution will optimize registration processes, reduce the burden on the relevant departments and speed up the processing of applications.
Simplifying processes and abolishing commissions
One of the key proposals is to eliminate the commissions that previously carried out registration. This is a step towards simplifying the procedure, which will reduce time costs for both citizens and the state.
In addition, it is proposed to abolish the mandatory medical examination during initial military registration, which will also simplify the process for many citizens. Instead, citizens undergoing higher education will be examined before starting practical classes in basic combined arms training.
The bill pays special attention to the situation of women who have expressed a desire to undergo basic military service. As part of the new rules, the provisions on military registration will be clarified for them, which will allow women to join the service more easily and quickly, while making maximum use of digital tools.
