The model reported that the incident happened on a flight from Toronto to Dallas after she went through security. According to Maria, she was kicked off the plane for “being too revealing”, which left her extremely embarrassed.

«I got kicked off a flight because of the way I look. Please stop the discrimination, please, it's disgusting. I feel so discouraged and humiliated right now , you have no idea. Apparently she kicked me out because of my clothes, because I look too revealing. But it's illegal, so she had to say it was because I was asleep and didn't hear her,' she said.
