As is known, with the onset of cold weather, chestnuts begin to appear in houses insects such as moths and spiders that are looking for warm places to spend the winter. Moths can damage clothing and other fabrics, so you need to get rid of them in advance.

In the fall, you can get rid of annoying insects with the help of ordinary chestnuts, which at this time of year there are many in parks and squares. It is enough to simply lay them out on the windowsill

Chestnuts have a smell that only insects feel, and it is unpleasant for them. People usually do not notice this smell, but for pests it acts as natural repellent, scaring them away from the house. To enhance this effect, you can cut a chestnut in half and put the shell next to it – this will help release more active substances and increase protection from insects.
